The
chicken
gut
microbiota
plays
important
roles
in
host
physiology
and
well-being.
It
can
be
impacted
by
several
management
environmental
factors
like
the
use
of
antibiotic
growth
promoters
(AGP)
heat
stress
(HS).
Probiotics,
essential
oils
(EO),
vitamins
(such
as
folic
acid)
are
bioactive
substances
that
could
potentially
modulate
promote
its
resilience
to
stressful
factors,
especially
when
supplied
early
during
embryonic
development.
This
study
evaluated
modulating
potential
ovo
delivered
probiotics,
acid
(FA),
+
in-water
EO
broiler
chickens,
compared
an
in-feed
AGP,
under
HS
challenge.
Results
from
this
indicate
HS,
treatments
modified
ceca
bacterial
populations
suggest
microbiota-mediated
role
AGP
promotion
is
related
improved
biosynthesis
nutrients
(amino
acids
especially)
utilization
carbon
sources
derived
diet
microbiome.

Abstract.
The
use
of
medicinal
plant
extracts
in
animal
production
has
recently
increased
due
to
the
discovery
