The early childhood curriculum is an integral part of the educational process, and many countries are looking at how to ensure its quality. With decentralization content in Lithuania, each Early Childhood Education Care (ECEC) institution develops own curriculum. In this case, role head teacher school leadership style they adopt become very important. Our study aims investigate expression shared Lithuanian preschool education institutions it relates An online survey was conducted spring–autumn 2023. sample randomly selected from a list kindergartens (N = 549) operating 133 were selected. Introduction Children in Europe and Norway grow up an increasingly culturally diverse society. As of 2022, 20% children Norwegian Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions have a minority background. It is essential for parents ECE professionals to work together ensure good start these children. The partnership between the statutory right duty, should, on equal terms, participate influence what happens institutions. However, research has shown wide variation how create partnerships with refugee parents, many find working this group challenging. This article explores experiences interactions encounters setting. aim analyze tensions provide insights into encounters, negotiation processes their experiences. Methodology study based semi-structured interviews twelve six pedagogical leaders, one kindergarten manager. Additionally, fieldwork was conducted institution contextual depth. Results data analyzed thematically using inductive design. Through analysis, three prominent themes emerged: 1) Barriers , 2) “ Norwegianness ”, 3) Trust . findings highlight importance trust children’s care institution’s safety. Family involvement and participation in education (FIPE) profoundly impacts the quality of students’ academic social development. Initial teacher contribution fostering attitudes, skills, strategies for effective FIPE is therefore unquestionable. We aimed to find out what extent Portuguese pre-service teachers are prepared engage families. A document analysis was conducted establish explicit information regarding within initial syllabi. Out 621 syllabi across 36 master’s courses from 25 institutions, only 98 included some on FIPE. mere 12 syllabi, seven exclusively addressed family–school relationships. Our study covered over 87% exposing inconsistencies their educational aims, content, recommended literature.
