Agroforestry, a sustainable land-based management system integrates trees with crops and livestock, has deep historical roots in Asian African countries. Apart from providing numerous social, economic, environmental benefits agroforestry plays crucial role bolstering climate resilience within agricultural systems. This chapter presents different case studies Asia Africa showing the potent of tree-based farming practices enhancing soil health, water management, biodiversity conservation, besides helping to ensure food nutritional security rural households. Countries like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Uzbekistan have demonstrated agroforestry's potential boosting productivity, improving diversification income sources. Similarly, Africa, vital combating insecurity, poverty, land degradation. summarizes pre-requisites for unlocking create resilient landscape.

This research assesses land suitability and territorial planning for sustainable coconut agriculture in Johor, Malaysia, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) remote sensing technologies. The study aims to generate a comprehensive map, evaluate viability Weighted Overlay Analysis (WOA) Principal Component (PCA), develop plans that consider soil suitability, climate conditions, environmental impacts. Key variables analyzed include digital elevation model (DEM), bulk density, use/land cover, moisture, NDVI, pH, annual rainfall, temperature, type, water content. Each of these factors was reclassified assigned weights through (PCA) produce detailed maps. final maps classified areas into categories: very suitable, moderately unsuitable, based on predefined scale. These results clearly show there is significant loss regarding cultivation from 2018 2024 due driving like urbanization, degradation land, fluctuating conditions. Therefore, key were found highly suitable farming Pontian, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kota Tinggi, while lower Pulau Tioman. thus concludes adaptive management strategies continuous monitoring are needed promote agriculture, hence optimizing use Johor.
