During the COVID-19 pandemic, regular teaching–learning activities have been replaced with online education strategies. This study aimed to explore undergraduate medical students’ experiences in conducting research projects during pandemic Malaysia. In institution, students had a rotation at community medicine posting their Semesters 6 and 7, they needed conduct health projects. Upon completion of posting, were asked reflect on project using Gibbs’ reflective cycle. The inclusion criteria writings who conducted pandemic. secondary qualitative data from reflections 40 included until saturated analysed thematic analysis. R-based Qualitative Data Analysis (RQDA) software was used for Seven salient themes emerged reflections: (a) sudden changes due (b) challenges, (c) feelings students, (d) support, (e) adaptation learning process, (f) perceived benefits projects, (g) self-reflection way forward. Although there various able overcome develop educational sector should provide support terms technology clear guidance process encourage communication teamwork challenges. From positive perspective, situation could beneficial impact implementing e-learning surveys
