The growing global population, limited natural resources, and climate change necessitate a shift toward environmentally sustainable agriculture. Traditional practices, reliant on chemical fertilizers, pesticides, poor land management, compromise food safety environmental integrity, exacerbating plant diseases weakening crop defenses. Biotechnology offers solutions by enhancing agricultural productivity while reducing pests, diseases, impacts. This review highlights the role biotechnology in agriculture, focusing biosurfactants, genetic engineering, precision biocontrol agents. Gene-editing technologies like CRISPR-Cas9 have enabled development of disease-resistant crops, improving health mitigating infections. In future, agents such as microbial inoculants plant-derived antimicrobials may replace traditional effectively managing caused bacterial, fungal, viral pathogens. present also explores potential machine learning (ML) artificial intelligence (AI) optimizing management use biosurfactants industrial applications. Biosurfactants are crucial suppressing phytopathogens, soil health, fostering beneficial plant-microbe interactions for effective disease management. Although these advancements hold great promise, further research is required to assess their long-term sustainability ecological Scaling technologies, particularly developing countries, remains significant challenge. To establish systems, an integrated approach combining genetic, environmental, technological strategies essential. study reviews emerging biotechnological solutions, emphasizing applications pathology improve resilience ensure security.
