Professional honor is a critical factor shaping the recruitment and retention of teachers in rural China. This study examines influence demographic factors—gender, age, region—on professional among 1,320 across seven Chinese provinces. Using confirmatory analysis (CFA), reliability scale was established (χ 2 /df = 6.249; RMSEA 0.063). Comparative analyses revealed significant differences: female reported higher levels than their male counterparts; Eastern Region exhibited greater those Western Region; aged 31–40 displayed lowest all age groups. A multiple regression identified gender, region as predictors honor, with gender moderating relationship between public (PuPH) personal (PePH). These findings have implications for addressing challenges teacher prestige, including workforce feminization, age-related dynamics, migration from to regions. Recommendations are proposed mitigate these enhance schools.
