Contaminants

Abstract
In
nutritional
ecology
the

A

hypothesis

natural
selection
has
acted
upon
behavioural
and
physiological
traits
consumers
to
result
in
them

herbivores
omnivores,
which
experience
strong
heterogeneity
quality
available
foods.
Although
carnivores
a
community
with
much
more
homogeneous
nutrient
composition,
by
nevertheless

highly
likely
researchers.
Here
we
test
for
micronutrients
(amino
acids)
two
freshwater
carnivores:
river
blackfish
two-spined
blackfish.
both
blackfishes
exhibited
non-random
consumption
from
environment,
this
resulted
amino
acids
only
one
species,
Non-random
was
not
SCIT,
but
instead
an
artefact
habitat-specific
foraging.
We
present
hypotheses
explain
why
wild
populations
may
exhibit
acids.
Our
work
highlights
need
careful,
critical
tests
assumptions
its
application
populations.
