Abstract The utilization of mulch stands as a paramount approach in the management wind erosion and stabilization soil drifting sands. This study aimed to explore impact various concentrations spent liquor (20 %, 30 50 % v/v) derived from SO 2 –ethanol–water (SEW) fractionation Eucalyptus wood on physical mechanical properties sand. These encompassed moisture content, thickness, temperature, electrical conductivity (EC), erodibility, penetration resistance, seed germination. findings revealed that highest compressive strength (0.76 MPa) was attained with consisting SEW liquor, resulting 3.3-fold increase resistance compared control treatment. Furthermore, 20 concentration did not adversely affect germination black saxaul ( Haloxylon ammodendron ), whereas lowest rate associated concentration. Based measured parameters, optimal treatment for stabilizing sands identified (v/v) underscores efficacy dust mitigating its environmental impacts, thus highlighting potential sustainable practices.
