The effect of microplastics (MPs) on the respiratory disease is extremely significant. Targeted intervention can be aided by recognizing pathophysiology in diseases. This research attempts to identify major trends literatures and highlight key based bibliometric analysis figure out present areas potential future directions. Relevant academic works from 2020 2024 were downloaded Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC). Subsequent examination these records was performed utilizing multiple analytical tools: R statistical package (version 4.3.2), CiteSpace software, online platform Literature Metrology interface bibliometrix. A total 78 qualified identified included analysis. China has highest number publications. most referenced journal Total Environment. Chinese Academy Sciences institution with publication number. Toxicity, ingestion, accumulation, metabolism, gene, oxidative stress, inflammation cell death among 25 relevant terms. Research processes MPs advanced rapidly during past 5 years. Human exposure (toxicity, accumulation metabolism), are five main area. In following stage, deep studies connection various mechanisms will conducted, efforts expected minimize level human body, thus reducing risk humans.
