Microadditive manufacturing has revolutionized the production of complex, nano- to microscale components across various fields. This work investigates two-photon (2P) and three-photon (3P) fluorescence imaging, as well third-harmonic generation (THG) microscopy, examine periodic microarchitected lattice structures fabricated using multiphoton lithography (MPL). By immersing in refractive index matching fluids, we demonstrate high-fidelity 3D reconstructions both fluorescent 2P 3P microscopy low-fluorescence THG microscopy. These results show that (MPF) imaging offers reduced signal decay with respect depth compared single-photon techniques examined structures. We further ability nondestructively identify intentional internal modifications structure are not immediately visible scanning electron microscope (SEM) images compression-induced fractures, highlighting potential these for quality control defect detection microadditively manufactured components.

An inextensible 1D continuum whose deformation energy purely depends on the gradient of associated curvature is introduced to describe behavior Zigzagged Articulated Parallelograms with Braces truss structures (ZAPAB structures) after homogenization. We choose a particular ZAPAB structure in which all but one constituting bars basic module do not change their length under applied loads. This judicious choice allows us verify, through numerical simulations, that corresponding indeed has solely derivative curvature. Thus, by employing best-fitting approach based least squares method, we numerically identify best stiffness coefficient (in squared sense) contribution due curvature, termed as double-bending stiffness. The presented simulations consider case uniformly distributed dead loads, and reveal strong match between current configurations proposed model, obtained Finite Element Method, (for selected number modules), discrete approach, curves coinciding up certain intrinsic error. These results require development an analytical micro–macro identification procedure. facilitate advances synthesis tailored materials n -th theory. adopt theory-driven expectation devising exotic behaviors. Specifically, anticipate material lines capable storing uniform bending (constant curvature) will be homogenization, thereby paving way for future work introduces complex built upon them.
