Dissimilar steel welded structures are commonly used in the marine engineering field. Owing to scarcity of in-depth investigation into intricate pattern residual stress distribution welding within 316L/Q345 dissimilar joints and methods for reducing this stress, a platform-based vibratory relief (VSR) experimental system was established comprehensively study effects VSR on mechanical properties microstructure structures. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examine fracture morphology explore intrinsic mechanisms by which enhances joints. The findings suggest that is capable significantly homogenizing diminishing heat-affected area mismatched specimens. significant reduction after can primarily be attributed combination alternating applied platform exceeded yield limit metal materials. Furthermore, refinement second-phase particles, changes main reasons increased strength observed VSR. This has application value, providing theoretical basis use treatment enhance reliability safe operation equipment.
