Digitalisation and technological developments are profoundly changing the socioeconomic structure of society people's lifestyles, which may have a significant impact on distribution income among different groups people. This study conducted quantitative investigation into digital economy inequality based skill bias theory. First, empirical model analysis showed that has linear dampening effect there is no non-linear relationship. Then, analyzed mechanisms underlying this relationship, revealed mining remittances suppress in presence economy, while government spending promotes inequality. Finally, heterogeneity indicated suppressive capitalist countries stronger than ex-communist countries. These findings will not only help to achieve social equity, but also provide strategic direction for economic development make dividends more inclusive.

Fully harnessing the digital economy to encourage clean transition of household cooking fuel is essential for improving environmental conditions and enhancing human health. To this end, we developed a theoretical framework examine how influences choices empirically investigated these relationships using panel data from China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) spanning 2014–2020. The results show that accelerates transition, particularly in adoption electricity. These conclusions remain consistent after addressing endogeneity conducting robustness tests. Furthermore, promotional effect exhibits certain heterogeneities, notably more prominent among female heads, as well urban northern regions. Mechanism analysis reveals promoting force primarily driven by increased income, expanded social networks, heightened awareness. findings offer empirical backing utilizing facilitate guide policymakers designing targeted interventions consider regional diversity.

Abstract Based on the Chinese provincial panel data from 2011 to 2022, this paper innovatively use spatial double/debiased machine learning (DDML) model, planar and mediating model study effect, mechanisms of digitalization carbon emissions in both local surrounding areas. The empirical studies show that significantly reduces area. Digitalization by promoting transformation energy industrial structure green technological innovation, regions improvement utilization efficiency progress, improve intensification areas thus reducing emissions. Prediction using LSTM neural network shows for 30 provinces China except Tibet 2030, peak dioxide is achievable. For digitally developed regions, or where digitization lagging behind but developing rapidly, can help these achieve with less relatively undeveloped, makes little difference process achieving slowly, due extensiveness provinces, a rebound making put more demand into produce, will increase.

Abstract The proliferation of frontier technologies in the Global South has increased over past decade. Despite this development, evidence-based policy recommendations regarding their socioeconomic impacts within context Africa are scarce. This study addresses gap by employing macro data from 39 African countries to investigate impact technology adoption (FTR) on income inequality. Additionally, explores whether democracy serves as a moderator FTR, influencing more equitable distribution. Furthermore, assesses inequality FTR across various thresholds democracy. Results dynamic system GMM estimator reveal that: (i) increases inequality, (ii) democracy, particularly electoral and participatory mitigates (iii) reduces only at higher threshold (0.5 or better). leads conclusion that, without inclusive may impede Africa's social progress agenda widening disparity gap.
