Introduction: Essential oils are complex substances used extensively in aromatherapy and phytotherapy, some of them as anxiety stress-relieving agents. In order to evaluate the effects Melissa officinalis essential oil on state trait anxiety, this study was conducted. Methods: The extracted by steam distillation chemical composition investigated Gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC–MS). addition, a Quasi experimental with measures at pretest-posttest conducted, where 58 participants were divided into two groups, waiting-list (WL) control group, an group (EG)treated based oil. index evaluated State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Measures taken times: pretest posttest. Results: analysis showed that β-cubebene (26.3%), β-caryophyllene (25.4%) geranial (12.5%) de main components. Both levels decreased during posttest phase; however, only demonstrated statistically significant differences (p<0.05). A moderate size effect found for (d = 0.799; g= 0.797) 1-β=0.803; but none anxiety. Conclusion: moderately effective has no

Citral, a common monoterpene found in numerous plants, is an interesting compound that has been shown to have various biological activities. Although it widely distributed nature and there are many studies presenting its activities, anti-neurodegenerative activity, especially under vivo conditions, very poorly understood. Thus, this paper aimed deepen knowledge about citral activity towards factors symptoms of neurodegeneration. To accomplish this, several comprehensive tests were conducted, including the estimation butyrylcholinesterase inhibition, evaluation hepatotoxicity detection oxidative stress lipid peroxidation vitro, as well behavioral assessment using mice models. Additionally, ex determination level brain blood tested animal was undertaken. The results obtained revealed able inhibit protect hepatic cells against vitro. Moreover, indicated (50 mg/kg) improves memory processes associated with acquisition (passive avoidance test), both acute subchronic administration. we administration at 25 mg/kg 50 did not significantly affect locomotor activity. Beyond aforementioned, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis presence after citral. Taken together, clearly indicate promising can potentially be used cognition improvement.

With the rapid advancement in brain science and imaging technology, there is a growing interest investigating connection between aromatherapy its effects on brain. This study employs Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) to examine impacts of exposure fragrance lemongrass essential oil (LEO) specific regions. The objective assess influence inhaling scent LEO EEG patterns awake, healthy adult females using power spectral analysis. In this experimental study, 30 female participants were exposed water mist as control after baseline recordings. Subsequently, inhaled aromatic diffused into room air, their activity was recorded. Data from scalp electrode readings analyzed Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed Rank Test. results revealed significant increase relative alpha waves prefrontal, frontal occipital regions, accompanied by heightened theta decreased beta power. These suggests that inhalation modulates brainwave activities, inducing relaxing

Anesthetics play a crucial role in aquaculture by ensuring the welfare and health of fish, facilitating various procedures, preventing physical injuries during handling. Recently, plant- based anesthetics for fish are becoming sustainable alternative to synthetic fisheries research. The present study examined use lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) essential oils as Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus(i-Excel strain) fry. Fish (average body weight = 0.004 g) were immersed varying concentrations 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 μL L-1 30, 70 oils, respectively. induction recovery times recorded best dose was determined on rapid (<3-4 minutes) quick (<10 minutes). results indicated that both exhibit dose-dependent effects sedation recovery. Lavender oil achieved optimal anesthesia at 60 , with an time 229.3±10.7 seconds 310.9±16.9 seconds, while induced 30 232.5±11.7 130.5±8.6 seconds. Both resulted 100.0% survival, higher doses faster but decreased survival rates. These offer cost-effective alternatives short-term handling procedures; however, further research histopathological transport dosages is needed.
