DNA-functionalised
hydrogels
for

vitro
diagnostics",

the
development

analyte-sensitive
hydrogel,
functionalised
with
oligonucletide
probes,
a
diffractive
structure
as
optical
transducer
diagnostic
applications.The
first
chapter
includes
overview
different
concepts
related
to
biosensing,
recent
developments
diagnostics
market
and,
particular,
DNA
biosensors.In
addition,
synthesis
and
characterization
hydrogels,
their
role
support
matrix
immobilization
strategies
are
presented.Finally,
basic
holography

detection
strategy
diffraction
gratings
biosensing
