ABSTRACT Capillary electrochromatography (CEC) has attracted significant attention and gained considerable recognition in the field of separation science owing to its excellent efficiency. While numerous reviews on CEC have been published recent years, a comprehensive systematic summary typical synthesis strategies for electrochromatographic stationary phases their state‐of‐the‐art applications remains lacking. This review highlights advances (over past 3 years) representative (including chiral separation, microextraction‐coupled analysis, metabolomics, enzyme food analysis) monolithic open‐tubular CEC. The advantages limitations each methodology are critically analyzed present balanced evaluation.
