Silkie chickens are a unique breed renowned for their pigmentation, food and medicine homology properties, distinctive appearance, making them highly valuable in exhibitions, as pets, medicinal cuisine, model melanin research. Despite vast potential, the growing volume of publications patents related to chicken highlights critical need systematic organization, summarization, analysis this wealth information. For first time, study employs bibliometric tools summarize analyze 114 years research on chicken. Our demonstrates that academic studies primarily focus nutritional value, production, genetic mechanisms, while emphasize formulations, breeding methods, purebred identification. Although there has been significant growth citations since 2001, international collaboration remains limited. This presents integrated multidisciplinary unlock full potential provides foundational framework future applications.
