Never has the world been more challenged by respiratory diseases (RDs) than it witnessed in last few decades. This is evident plethora of acute and chronic conditions, ranging from asthma obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, pneumonia, influenza, recently, novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The highly multidrug‐resistant (MDR) Gram‐negative bacterial pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii is a top global health priority where an effective vaccine can protect susceptible populations and limit resistance acquisition. Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) shed from bacteria are enriched with virulence factors lipids but heterogeneous in size cargo. Herein, platform combining precise replicable nanoparticle technology immunogenic A. OMVs (Ab‐OMVs) reported. Gold cores coated Ab‐OMVs (Ab‐NPs) induce robust IgG titers rabbits that enhance human neutrophil opsonophagocytic killing passively against lethal sepsis mice. Active Ab‐NP immunization mice protects pneumonia, accompanied by B cell recruitment to draining lymph nodes, activation of dendritic markers, improved splenic responses, mitigation proinflammatory cytokine storm. Nanoparticles efficient efficacious for OMV delivery perhaps other high‐priority MDR pathogens.

The Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), has significantly impacted health and socioeconomic status of humans worldwide. Pulmonary infection SARS-CoV-2 results in exorbitant viral replication associated onset inflammatory cytokine storm disease pathology various internal organs. However, etiopathogenesis is not fully understood. Currently, there are no targeted therapies available to cure COVID-19, most patients treated empirically with anti-inflammatory and/or anti-viral drugs, based on symptoms.
