This study investigated the effects of a phytochemical-Lactobacilli blend (PEL) on performance and health late-pregnant does. Thirty Zaraibi does (30.9 ± 0.37 kg body weight, 3-3.5 years old, 90 days pregnant) were randomly assigned to three experimental groups, ensuring equal distribution based parity, litter size, previous lactation milk production. The fed either control diet (no supplementation) or PEL-supplemented (control plus 2 g 4 PEL per day) for 60 days. supplementation linearly improved (p < 0.05) feed intake, nutrient digestibility, ruminal concentrations acetic propionic acids, while significantly reducing ammonia-N concentrations. reduced feeding rumination times increasing idling time. Blood hematological parameters with supplementation. Serum protein, liver kidney function indicators, lipid metabolism, cortisol, thyroid hormone levels 0.01) in linear manner Antioxidant status, pro-inflammatory cytokines, immune response enhanced both quadratically treatment. Gene expression analysis revealed upregulation growth, immune, antioxidant-related genes These findings suggest that supplementing pregnant day can effectively enhance their performance, health, metabolic status.

To assess the effects of inactivated Lactobacillus rhamnosus (ILR) on growth performance, serum biochemical indices, colonic microbiota, and metabolomics in weaned piglets, 120 piglets were randomly divided into five groups. Samples control group fed a basal diet, while experimental ILR1, ILR2, ILR3, ILR4 groups diets supplemented with 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% ILR, respectively. The prefeeding period lasted for 5 days was followed by formal 28 days.

The intestinal microbiota is known to be altered by Eimeria-induced coccidiosis, but it remains unclear whether the fully restored after recovery. To address this, 110 newly hatched Cobb male broiler chickens were challenged with 2 × 104 sporulated oocysts of Eimeria maxima (EM) strain M6 or mock-infected saline on day 10. Body weight and feed intake recorded. Additionally, 10 mock- 12 EM-infected birds randomly selected assess small lesion, fecal oocyst shedding, ileal cecal compositions using 16S rRNA gene sequencing at 3, 5, 7, 14, 21 days post-infection (dpi). EM infection significantly decreased (p < 0.001) body 5 dpi, persisting through dpi. also reduced 0.05) gain, intake, efficiency in first week; however, these parameters became comparable second third weeks. At 7 during peak infection, major lactic acid bacteria enriched, while short-chain fatty acid-producing mostly suppressed both ileum cecum. Opportunistic pathogens such as Escherichia Clostridium perfringens transiently bloomed By 14 differential bacterial enrichment subsided, nearly all commensal returned healthy levels Coupled growth performance between EM-recovered chickens, we conclude that largely its state Understanding microbiota's responses coccidiosis may inform probiotic-based mitigation strategies.
