Melanin overproduction causes various skin diseases, such as spots, freckles, and wrinkles, resulting in the requirement of melanin synthesis inhibitors like 1-phenyl-2-thiourea (PTU) kojic acid, which have been commonly used pharmaceutical industry. However, these can cause side effects irritation allergies. Therefore, it is necessary to develop safe effective from natural resources. The purpose this study was investigate a whitening agent substances using B16F10 melanoma cells zebrafish model. We investigated melanogenesis-inhibiting activities fractions Sargassum pallidum extract. ethyl acetate fraction S. extract (SPEF) significantly decreased tyrosinase activity. SPEF also reduced α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH)-induced intracellular activity content cells. Moreover, inhibited expression levels key melanogenic proteins tyrosinase, TRP-1, TRP-2, MITF by downregulating phosphorylation CREB PKA α-MSH-stimulated Furthermore, suppressed model with no developmental toxicity. LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS analysis identified that composed 12 phytochemical compounds, including diterpenes, were dominant metabolites. These results altogether show effectively suppresses melanogenesis model, potential for usage pharmaceuticals cosmeceuticals.
