Normal-anion-gap metabolic acidosis (NAGMA) is a common but often under-recognised and poorly understood condition, especially by less-experienced clinicians. In adults, NAGMA might be an initial clue to more significant underlying pathology, such as autoimmune diseases, hypergammaglobulinemia or drug toxicities. However, identifying the aetiology can challenging due diverse processes involved in development of acidosis. A better understanding pathophysiology help treating physicians suspect evaluate condition early reach correct diagnosis. This article provides overview renal acid-base regulation, discusses pathophysiological developing framework for evaluation accurate

Abstract Background Fipronil is a new, broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole pesticide used in agriculture veterinary medicine to control insects, fleas and ticks. The excessive use of fipronil, due its prolonged half-life bioaccumulation properties, poses potential environmental, human animal risks. P-coumaric acid natural dietary polyphenolic compound with antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties. present study aimed investigate the ameliorative effect p-coumaric on fipronil-induced acute kidney injury. mice were divided into three groups (vehicle/control, fipronil challenged @ 25 mg/kg bodyweight bwt + acid-treated 100 groups). Hematological, function biomarkers, oxidative stress parameters like lipid peroxidation, superoxide dismutase catalase, gene expression NF-κβ2 histopathology studied. Results administration caused significant increase blood urea nitrogen creatinine. A stress, as well downregulation enzymes along histopathological changes such degeneration, necrosis tubular epithelial cells, atrophied renal corpuscles mononuclear infiltration observed administration. Administration against decreased serum biomarkers NF-κβ2, improved enzyme levels mitigated structural induced by fipronil. Conclusion Thus ameliorates injury through attenuation changes, inflammation restoration levels.

Transporter research primarily relies on the canonical substrates of well-established transporters. This approach has limitations when studying transporters for low-abundant micromolecules, such as micronutrients, and may not reveal physiological functions While d -serine, a trace enantiomer serine in circulation, was discovered an emerging biomarker kidney function, its transport mechanisms periphery remain unknown. Here, using multi-hierarchical from body fluids to molecules, combining multi-omics, cell-free synthetic biochemistry, ex vivo analyses, we have identified two types renal -serine systems. We revealed that small amino acid transporter ASCT2 serves previously uncharacterized non-canonical substrate sodium-coupled monocarboxylate (SMCTs). These systems are physiologically complementary, but dominates role pathological condition. Our findings only shed light transport, also clarify importance transport. study provides framework investigating multiple various micromolecules under conditions multifactorial diseases.

The aim of the study was to evaluate interconnections between local Schumann resonances Earth’s magnetic field and episodes kidney disease. Materials Methods: Study participants included 716 males 624 females who had disease during period 1 January 2021 31 December attended Department Nephrology at Hospital Lithuanian University Health Sciences, Kauno klinikos. Time varying data collected magnetometer site located in Lithuania. Results Conclusions: results support hypothesis that has a relationship number nephrology patient hospitalizations per week average weekly strength different frequency ranges. Working hypotheses are proposed for mechanisms influence electromagnetic on function: а) quantum mechanical features atomic composition renal tissue molecules determine kidney-specific reaction; b) cyclotron resonance mechanism; c) resonant response cells morphological structures external bioactive frequencies range 6-8 Hz; d) mechanism indirect blood as magnetically saturated medium.
