This study aimed to investigate differences in the leaf biomasses, chemical compositions, and pharmacological activities of Turpinia arguta histocultured seedlings live at different harvesting periods (S1, S2, S3, S4) order determine optimal period. Eleven indexes, including biomass, key active components, secondary metabolites, nutrient content, antioxidant activity, were evaluated by high-performance liquid chromatography colorimetric methods during periods. The weights 11 indexes calculated principal component analysis, then a comprehensive quality evaluation was performed. results showed significant contents, between highest score obtained for S4 period, indicating that T. best this time period most suitable At (S4), medicinal higher than those seedlings, importance tissue culture technology enhancing arguta. provides more novel abundant information reference determining appropriate arguta, with aim providing newer scientific guidance management herbs.

This article explores the emerging field of nanomedicine as a drug delivery system, aimed at enhancing therapeutic efficacy active pharmaceutical ingredients in medicinal plants. The traditional methods applying plants present several limitations, such low bioavailability, poor solubility, challenges accurately controlling dosage, and inadequate targeting. Nanoformulations represent an innovative approach preparation that employs nanotechnology to produce nanoscale particles or carriers, which are designed overcome these limitations. offer distinct advantages, significantly solubility bioavailability drugs, particularly for poorly soluble components These formulations effectively enhance thereby facilitating better absorption utilization by human body, turn improves efficacy. Furthermore, enables targeted delivery, ensuring precise administration lesion site minimizing side effects on healthy tissues. Additionally, nanoformulations can regulate release rates, extend duration action, stability treatment effects. However, certain limitations potential risks; their safety require further investigation, regarding toxicity with long-term use. Nevertheless, nanomaterials demonstrate substantial augmenting plants, offering novel approaches methodologies development application.

Dendrobium nobile ( D. nobile), an orchid species deeply rooted in traditional medicine, has garnered considerable attention for its potential pharmacological and therapeutic properties. This critical review provides a comprehensive analysis of the bioactive compounds present explores their diverse effects. The phytochemistry been discussed, highlighting major constituents with specific profile investigated various domains. Notably, strong antioxidant activity ability to scavenge free radicals have shown support immune-modulating, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective Intriguingly, these orchids display promising anticancer, antidiabetic, cardiovascular, renoprotective, hepatoprotective, wound-healing mechanisms underlying effects were explored, including molecular pathways signalling cascades. However, factors influencing chemical composition, such as environmental conditions, cultivation techniques, postharvest processing, must be considered consistent outcomes. safety toxicity profiles derived from acute chronic studies examined. In future studies, exploring untapped elucidating intricate action are promising. underscores richness nobile, revealing contribute modern medicine while emphasising need further investigation harness full benefits.

Abstract Objective To ensure the quality of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. and improve associated benefits for stakeholders, this study analyzed influences different circulation channels stakeholders on quality, price, other factors P. with consideration to distribution. Method We interviewed local e-commerce platforms in Oroqen Autonomous Banner Morin Dawa Daur regarding origin, circulation, distribution, prices medicinal parts . In addition, maximum entropy model was used predict potential distribution area. According Chinese Pharmacopeia (2020 edition), we measured content index components collected Perillae Folium, Caulis, Fructus samples evaluated by quantitative cluster analyses. Remote sensing employed distinguish calculate area highly suitable regions. The autoregressive integrated moving average adopted analyze price Result results showed 8 value chains cooperation chain between farmers enterprises could maximize all guarantee materials. regionalization analysis that most planting junction Banner. Chemical Caulis were unqualified mostly purchased from platforms. identified 5 land types, among which cultivated 3247.7501 km 2 a rising trend, although trend slowed down. Conclusion This involved various links production materials consumption consumers, can help facilitate future research any link. findings promote development industry

Abstract BACKGROUND Pseudostellaria heterophylla , known for its significant bioactive ingredients, offers potential health benefits. Amounts of compounds the tuberous root cultivated are sensitive to environmental conditions. We selected 22 sampling sites in Guizhou Province, China, a primary planting area. analyzed polysaccharides, water‐soluble extractives, total ash and inorganic elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Mg Ca) Radix Pseudostellariae, pH, organic carbon (OC), available nitrogen (AN), phosphorus (AP), potassium (AK) soil. RESULTS Our study revealed substantial presence polysaccharides (85.00–181.00 mg g −1 ), extractives (47.52–57.63%) (1.87–3.39%) Pseudostellariae. Polysaccharides showed no sensitivity soil pH. Pseudostellariae collected from with pH > 7 exhibited slightly higher levels Ca than that < 5. Conversely, less 5 had OC, AN, AP AK contents. Water‐soluble were negatively correlated but positively OC AN. CONCLUSION The results imply sequestration nutrients over long‐term cultivation could impact accumulation some ingredients This has profound implication enhancing quality artificially . © 2024 Society Chemical Industry.
