To identify key factors influencing readiness for hospital discharge and delve into the experiences of stoma patients regarding their discharge. A mixed-methods study. total 374 colorectal cancer with stomas were involved to assess its factors. Additionally, 28 stakeholders-comprising surgeons, nursing managers, surgical nurses, enterostomal therapists, family caregivers-participated in semistructured interviews. Data on readiness, teaching quality, self-efficacy social support collected using validated scales. In-depth interviews provided further insights preparation experiences. Multivariate logistic regression analysis IBM SPSS 26.0 thematic via NVivo 12.0 employed data analysis. Six variables accounted 80% variance readiness: quality teaching, self-efficacy, support, age, gender income. Four main themes emerged: ambivalence towards discharge, insufficient time, inadequate communication information personal planning needs. Discharge among is influenced by perceived Insufficient poor hinder effective transfer.
