ABSTRACT
Porcine
circovirus
type
4
(PCV4),
a
recently
identified
circovirus,
is
prevalent
in
numerous
provinces
China,
as
well
South
Korea,
Thailand,
and
Europe.
PCV4
virus
rescued
from
an
infectious
clone
showed
pathogenicity,
suggesting
the
economic
impact
of
PCV4.
However,
there
remains
lack
understanding
regarding
immunogenicity
epitopes
This
study
generated
monoclonal
antibody
(MAb)
1D8
by
immunizing
mice
with
virus-like
particles
(VLPs).
Subsequently,
epitope
recognized
MAb
was
truncated
protein
expression
alanine
scanning
mutagenesis
analysis.
Results
that
225
PKQG
228
located
at
C-terminus
Cap
minimal
motif
binding
to
MAb.
Homology
modeling
analysis
immunoelectron
microscopy
revealed
extends
beyond
outer
surface
VLP.
Moreover,
highly
conserved
among
strains
does
not
react
other
PCVs.
Together,
shows
potential
for
detecting
These
findings
significantly
contribute
design
antigens
detection
control
strategies.
