Background/Objectives: Infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2) poses a significant health risk, especially for individuals chronic medical conditions. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most prevalent chronic, immune-mediated neurological disorder, and vaccinations are essential to its management. This study aimed compare reported willingness be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 actual vaccination status among people MS (pwMS) identify factors explaining discrepancy. Methods: In longitudinal, two-center study, we analyzed 149 patients aged 18 or older diagnosis of clinically isolated MS. The participants completed three surveys: baseline survey (from June 2019 2020), pre-vaccine follow-up May July post-vaccine October 2021 January 2022). data included sociodemographic, clinical, psychological information. Results: Among participants, 122 (81.9%) received vaccination, while 27 (18.1%) did not. pwMS who were unwilling become remained unvaccinated less likely live partner, had higher smoking rates, took more medications, number previously discontinued disease-modifying therapies, found pandemic policies inappropriate. No associations between willingness/status like age, sex, depression, anxiety. Conclusions: highlights gap in pwMS, revealing associated vaccine hesitancy. findings this offer insights into addressing uptake.
