Tissue ablation techniques have long been used in clinical settings to treat various oncologic diseases. However, many of these are invasive and can cause substantial adverse effects. Histotripsy is a noninvasive, nonionizing, nonthermal tissue technique that has the potential replace surgical interventions settings. works by delivering high-intensity focused ultrasound waves target tissue.
