Gastrointestinal tumors are among the malignancies with highest global incidence and mortality rates, their diagnosis treatment heavily rely on histopathological examination. However, traditional pathological assessment faces challenges such as strong subjectivity, heavy workload, low diagnostic consistency. In recent years, advancements in high-resolution digital slide scanning technology rapid development of deep learning algorithms, pathomics has emerged a novel tool for precise gastrointestinal tumors. By extracting high-throughput quantitative features from whole images combining machine techniques, enables automated tumor typing, prognosis prediction, response evaluation. This article reviews research progress tumors, focusing its applications gene mutation assessment, while analyzing current future directions.
