Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are widespread environmental contaminants that interfere with hormonal regulation, affecting metabolism, reproduction, neurodevelopment, and overall health. This review presents an overview of recent evidence on the health effects biological mechanisms EDCs, a focus their impact balance quality life. An integrative literature was conducted using 28 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 2025, retrieved from databases such as PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect. The selected studies explored physiological pathological EDCs in humans. Compounds, bisphenol A, phthalates, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), can mimic or block hormones, disrupt endocrine signaling pathways, bioaccumulate tissues. Exposure, especially during critical developmental windows, is linked to metabolic disorders, infertility, neurodevelopmental delays, hormone-sensitive cancers. Common exposure sources include food, air, household dust, water, personal care products. Key action involve receptor binding interference, oxidative stress, epigenetic alterations. pose significant growing threat public health, warranting urgent regulatory measures, increased awareness, continued research mitigate long-term consequences.

ABSTRACT The human body gets exposed to a variety of toxins intentionally or unintentionally on regular basis from sources such as air, water, food, and soil. Certain can be synthetic, while some are biological. affect the various parts by activating numerous pro‐inflammatory markers, like oxidative stresses, that tend disturb normal function organs ultimately. Nowadays, people use different types herbal treatments, viz., drinks contain spices for detoxification their bodies. One example is turmeric, most commonly available spice in kitchen used across all kinds households. Turmeric contains curcumin, which natural polyphenol. Curcumin medicinal compound with biological activities, antioxidant, antineoplastic, anti‐inflammatory, antibacterial. Hence, this review gives comprehensive insight into promising potential curcumin heavy metals, carbon tetrachloride, drugs, alcohol, acrylamide, mycotoxins, nicotine, plastics. encompasses diverse animal‐based studies portraying curcumin's role nullifying toxic effects (especially liver, kidney, testicles, brain) enhancing defensive signaling pathways, improving antioxidant enzyme levels, inhibiting markers activities so on. Furthermore, also argues over safety assessment its utilization detoxifying agent.

In this study, Fe3O4 was used as a magnetic core, combined with the characteristics of mesoporous adsorbents, to prepare novel composite material named MMC. Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) were functional monomers, simple etching method employed. The resulting MMC an effective adsorbent for solid-phase extraction trace residues six bisphenol endocrine disruptors (bisphenol A, B, C, F, AF, AP) from environmental water food samples. Characterization results indicated that surface exhibited distinct wormhole-like structure, successful incorporation CTAB groups Si-OH. crystal structure remained stable throughout preparation process. Mapping analysis confirmed uniform distribution without aggregation demonstrated high intensity, enabling rapid separation collection under external field. Extraction elution conditions optimized, tests conducted interfering substances such humic acid, glucose, fructose, sucrose optimal parameters. showed recovery rates not significantly affected. quality evaluation good linearity, broad linear range, low limits detection quantification, satisfactory rates. Blank spiked analyses seven real samples, including (rivers lakes) samples (dairy, juice, carbonated beverages), achieved. Thus, developed analytical enables various pollutants in complex matrices, providing valuable reference similar contaminants matrices.

This study investigated the occurrence and concentration of emerging persistent contaminants (EPC) within a variety land uses in Ping River catchment northern Thailand. Urban sites exhibited highest levels contamination, followed by agriculture rural sites. The high presence pharmaceuticals, daily use compounds, industrial-related compounds urban areas indicates significant contributions wastewater likely associated with drainage from manufacturing, repair, medical activities, as well dense residential living. ubiquitous (caffeine acesulfame) all land-use types was an indicator gray water pollution catchment. Seasonal variations EPC were not significant, possibly due to constant mixing or flushing EPCs large through multiple flow pathways. complexity mixed-use dependent on factors related usage processes, both natural anthropogenic, that affect entry into environment sources then river system and, potentially, groundwater. findings highlight heterogeneity dynamic nature anthropogenic landscapes emphasize need for further research influence hydrological connectivity intensity such settings.
