Model ensembles have several benefits compared to single-model applications but are not frequently used within the lake modelling community. Setting up and running multiple models can be challenging time consuming, despite many similarities between existing (forcing data, hypsograph, etc.). Here we present an R package, LakeEnsemblR, that facilitates of five different vertical one-dimensional hydrodynamic (FLake, GLM, GOTM, Simstrat, MyLake). The package requires input in a standardised format single configuration file. LakeEnsemblR formats these files required by each model, provides functions run calibrate models. outputs compiled into file, post-processing operations supported. LakeEnsemblR's workflow standardisation simplify model benchmarking uncertainty quantification, improve collaborations scientists. We showcase successful application for two lakes.

Floating solar photovoltaic (FPV) deployments are increasing globally as the switch to renewable energy intensifies, representing a considerable water surface transformation. FPV installations can potentially impact aquatic ecosystem function, either positively or negatively. However, these impacts poorly resolved given challenges of collecting empirical data for field modelling experiments. In particular, there is limited evidence on response phytoplankton changes in body thermal dynamics and light climate with FPV. Given importance understanding biomass species composition managing services, we use an uncertainty estimation approach simulate effect coverage array siting location UK reservoir. was modified 10% increments from baseline 0% 100% three different locations based reservoir circulation patterns. Abstract Lakes are considered as indicators of climate change on the Tibetan Plateau (TP). In present study, we use General Lake Model to simulate water temperature changes in Nam Co, second largest lake central TP, for period 1979–2012. The calibration and validation results demonstrate that this model is well suited thermal simulation Co. indicate Co has responded recent warming climate. average summer surface fluctuated yearly, but its trend positive at a rate 0.52 ± 0.25°C per decade. These prove both downward two driving factors responsible
