Agroforestry is an emerging livelihood strategy for meeting the fundamental requirements of millions rural households, yet quantifying its expansion and management practices in Ethiopia remains limited. This study investigated trends, extents drivers agroforestry related central highlands Ethiopia. A two-stage sampling method was employed to select 160 households that engaged home garden woodlot practices. The data were collected via semi-structured questionnaires, key informant interviews, focus group discussions analyzed using descriptive statistics, content analysis, Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann‒Whitney U test. results demonstrated there a significant difference mean size (in hectares) gardens (p < 0.05). There has been increasing trend adoption practices, both woodlots. rate increased from 0.23 % before 1980s 3.95 between 2011 2022. particularly increase establishment, positively influenced by market demand, seedling availability, availability labor, improved knowledge benefits, proximity homes roads. Furthermore, findings implemented weeding, pruning, thinning, looping, pollarding, fertilizer application, watering, coppicing, fencing, mulching maintain optimize productivity their systems.
