Industry 5.0 is a combination of organisational principles and technologies to design manage operations supply chains as resilient, sustainable, human-centric systems. While the general notion has been elaborated, its implications for future remain underexplored. This paper contributes conceptualisation from perspective viability. We contextualise framework through lens viable chain model, reconfigurable chain, ecosystems. Our study uncovers major dimensions that characterise technological-organisational framework. First, technological are collaboration, coordination, communication, automation, data analytics processing, identification. Second, covers four areas: organisation, management, technology, performance assessment. Third, spans three levels: society level, network plant level. Last but not least, frames new triple bottom line: resilient value creation, human well-being, sustainable society. provide definition discuss by elaborating on understanding in 5.0, which profit, people, also open research areas.

Entering the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on supply chains. Reacting to and adaptation in "new normal" have been challenging tasks. Exiting can lead some after-shock effects such as "disruption tails." While research community has undertaken considerable efforts predict pandemic's impacts examine chain adaptive behaviors during pandemic, little is known about management course of elimination post-disruption recovery. If capacity inventory are unaware risks, this result highly destabilized production-inventory dynamics decreased performance period causing product deficits markets high costs In paper, we use a discrete-event simulation model investigate exit strategies for context pandemic. Our inform managers existence risk disruption tails their chains guide selection post-pandemic recovery strategies. results show that with postponed demand shutdown particularly prone tails. We then developed examined two avoid these First, observed conjunction coordination which mitigates impact by smoothing over time period. Second, found gradual ramp-up prior expected peaks be an effective strategy tail control.

This article empirically examines the effect of big data analytics (BDA) on healthcare supply chain (HSC) innovation, responsiveness, and resilience under moderating innovation leadership in context COVID-19 pandemic. The scanning interpretation–action–performance model organization information processing theory are used to explain BDA, HSC relationships. First, hypotheses were tested using collected from 190 experienced respondents working industry. Our structural equation modeling analysis partial least squares (PLS) method revealed that BDA capabilities play a pivotal role building responsive improving which has contributed during current pandemic situation. High strengthens innovation. also increases responsiveness. Second, we validated supplemented empirical research findings inputs 30 semistructured qualitative questionnaires. makes unique contribution perspective leaderships. In particular, argue innovative situation is critical as it indirectly affects when place.
