There is a reported high prevalence of anxiety in people with autism spectrum disorder. This mini review appraises existing research investigating heart rate variability biofeedback to help manage symptoms A thorough search electronic databases was conducted find relevant literature. Consultation experts and librarian helped develop terms following the PICO framework. Five were searched, screening undertaken using Covidence software, process outlined PRISMA flowchart. The latest showed positive short-term effects but there need for long-term follow-up. Future investigations should consider device type, training settings, control interventions. Accurate assessment independent devices crucial. Additional measures like cortisol user feedback are recommended comprehensive evaluation. findings highlight progress evidence base offer insight future directions.
