Abstract The nutritional quality of food can affect the health animals. This study examined effects dietary supplementation with Lippia sidoides essential oil (LSEO) on physiology Danio rerio . Four hundred fourty‐eight fish were divided into 28 tanks and subjected to different treatments: a control group no supplementation, grain alcohol five groups LSEO at concentrations 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00% 1.25%. After 15 days, histological enzymatic analyses conducted. 0.25% exhibited lower glutathione peroxidase catalase activity compared group. Additionally, in showed improved liver, kidney splenic integrity indices. These findings support inclusion diet D. , suggesting potential benefits for encouraging further research phytotherapeutics diets.

The aquafeed industry evolved alongside fish farming, utilizing scientific and technological advancements to incorporate a variety of feed additives, supplements, alternative ingredients in the nutrition feeding aquaculture. These advances played significant role improving production, health, welfare farmed fish. Recent research Brazil highlighted importance using such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, ensure that receive all necessary nutrients for growth health. Functional additives can enhance immune system, boosting disease resistance promoting overall health Antimicrobial antiparasitic help prevent treat infections infestations, reducing occurrence outbreaks. Additionally, some improve digestibility, leading better nutrient absorption reduced requirements. Overall, nutritional strategies are essential optimizing farming practices globally, sustainability industry. This review emphasizes significance certain strategically incorporated into experimental feeds Brazilian farming. It also underscores necessity ongoing research. There is noticeable trend towards developing more sustainable efficient feeds, which future goal minimize environmental impacts while maintaining economic viability aquaculture operations.

Essential oils serve as potential additives that can enhance immune respons and disease resistance regulate the gut microbiota of fish. Here, this research aims to identify impacts eucalyptus essential oil (EEO) on growth, liver antioxidative parameters, Streptococcus iniae, intestinal morphology in Trachinotus ovatus. All fish (initial weight: 26.87 ± 0.30 g) were randomly allocated 12 floating cages (2.0 × 2.0 m3) with each cage containing 100 fed for 30 days. Four diets manufactured supplementation varying levels EEO (control 5.0, 10.0, 15.0 mL/kg) named CG, EEO1, EEO2 EEO3, respectively. The results showed EEO1 significantly increased WGR, thickness muscle layer, ratio villus height crypt depth (V/C), while decreasing T. ovatus (p < 0.05). Significantly activities SOD CAT reduced MDA present and/or groups Moreover, mRNA nrf2, HO-1, GSH-Px, SOD, C4 GR genes upregulated expression keap1 HSP70 downregulated within After challenge S. iniae B240703 24 h, bacterial load five organs group was less than CG In addition, had lower abundances pathogenic bacteria (Proteobacteria, Planctomycetota, Burkholderia-Caballeronia-Paraburkholderia, Pseudomonas Blastopirellula) a higher beneficial proportion (Firmicutes) those conclusion, moderate dietary m EO level (5.0~10.0 improved growth morphology, promoted response, enhanced modulated

Despite all the technical-scientific knowledge about streptococcosis, high prevalence of bacterial infections caused by Streptococcus spp. in Nile tilapia farming implies frequent, often irresponsible, use antibiotics. The chemotherapy aquaculture environments remains an efficient practice treatment and disease prevention. Research have shown that emergence antimicrobial resistance (AMR) farmed fish is one main challenges faced aquaculture. It known emerging AMR can be transferred to clinically important strains from natural environment through horizontal gene transfer (HGT) affecting entire aquatic ecosystem. Maintaining health farms promotes sustainability production systems and, consequently, improves final quality farm products. Therefore, objective this review was provide information on prevention, control eradication diseases farms, how such management plays a fundamental role maintaining public ensuring adequate sanitary conditions for animals intended human consumption.

Abstract Aims Nanoemulsions based on plant essential oils have shown promise as alternatives against fungal pathogens by increasing the solubility and bioavailability of active compounds oils, which can improve their efficacy safety. In present study, we aimed to prepare characterize nanoemulsions Lippia origanoides oil, analyze antifungal activity C. albicans in planktonic biofilm form. Additionally, sought verify cytotoxicity. Methods results Alginate were prepared with different concentrations sunflower surfactant investigate ideal formulations regarding stability efficiency. The showed remained stable for longer than 60 days, acidic pH, particle sizes ranging from 180.17 ± 6.86 nm 497.85 253.50 nm, zeta potential −60.47 2.25 −43.63 12, polydispersity index 0.004 0.622. photomicrographs revealed that addition oil influenced formation particles, forming nanoemulsions. MIC ranged 0.078 0.312 mg ml−1. more effective free eradicating biofilm, eliminating up 89.7% its mass. With regard cytotoxicity, differences found between tests VERO cells red blood cells, less toxic oil. Conclusions These show strains forms.
