The endemic, green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus), trademarked as Greenshell™ mussel, contributes most to the New Zealand aquaculture industry based on tonnage and export value. Research immunity is motivated greatly by economical biosecurity necessities. Indeed, threatened pathogenic micro-organisms environmental stressors. As such there a need understand mechanisms that drive immune responses associated interactions with environment. Specifically, this review (1) analyses existing immunological studies conducted P. canaliculus, (2) evaluates literature pertaining at cellular humoral levels, (3) identifies discusses pathogens are relevant (4) focuses virulent factors employed likely induce diseases, (5) provides comprehensive analysis of response mussels various stressors, (6) explores omics applications future perspectives in immunology. Finally, highlights strategies from research, gene rearrangement, probiotics, immunostimulants, selective breeding, promising enhance health resilience aquaculture. By exploring these findings their practical applications, sustainable aquaculture, improving productivity disease management industry.

The growing problem of antibiotic resistance calls for a paradigm shift in medication discovery. Fortunately, the enormous oceans, home to an incredible diversity life, provide viable solution: marine metabolites. These unusual chemicals have potential treating wide range diseases. This present study investigates great using these marine-derived gems disease management techniques. Despite difficulty procuring and isolating organisms, discovering most effective metabolites, traversing lengthy research pipelines, rewards are apparent. To demonstrate power resources, paper examines successful case studies. Each delves deeply into single metabolite, including its source organism, it targets, precise mechanism by which metabolite disrupts process. We'll look at results clinical trials that examined efficacy safety medications, eventually exposing real-world influence on patient outcomes after incorporating them treatment plans. Examining cases provides useful insights resources producing novel opening path further discovery innovation battle against
