The aim of the studies reported in this thesis was to deepen our understanding how specific social conditions under which an individual develops influences their psychosocial adjustment. Adolescence is a sensitive window for development cognitive and affective functions schemata, all but one (Chapter 6) presented were therefore conducted with 12-15 year-olds. During adolescence, salience peer-related reward undergoes dramatic increase, autonomy becomes high priority familial relationships. Adolescents consequently “socially reorient,” from family toward peers. Abstract The psychological well-being at school of immigrant students living in poverty is currently an understudied topic developmental psychology. This important shortcoming because this population, which rapidly increasing many western countries, a double minority condition and has greater risk experiencing distress school, comparison with their native peers. In order to improve our understanding on issue, the present two-wave study investigated prospective relationships between peer acceptance two aspects school—intention drop out negative self-esteem—specifically focusing differential effect having (vs. not having) background. participants were 249 preadolescents adolescents ( M age = 12.76; SD 2.34; 41.8% girls; 19.3% immigrants) who attending educational centres for disadvantaged minors. status was inclusion criterion. Background: Since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, psychological state university students has been a cause for concern. In particular, odontology have experienced symptoms anxiety due to closure universities and suspension clinical training. Methods: Medline via PubMed was searched studies on prevalence in dental undergraduates, published from 1 December 2019 August 2021. Results: A total fifteen were included this review. Our results show 35% reported by students, which independent gender, response rate or methodological quality. The only significant finding lower located Europe compared those other continents. Conclusions: suggest are experiencing levels during pandemic that there seem be differences between different regions world. Therefore, it is important help psychologically as situation continues.

The main goal of this study was to verify whether the relationship between adolescents’ self-esteem and life satisfaction is mediated by peer communication. rationale behind choice fact that while we know a lot about association in adolescents, far less mechanisms may regulate direct relationship. research conducted among high school students one Polish provincial capitals (N = 429). Abstract Empathy is multifaceted, involving sharing and understanding the emotional mental states of others. Objective: Knowing the impact of parent’s communication and adolescent social anxiety. Method: The Research type is quantitative, using survey techniques with a teenage population. sample size was 2135 junior high school students spread across 24 Cities Districts in West Java. Data collected for 1 month (October 1-31, 2024). Respondents filled out Google form containing instruments about parental patterns (attitudes towards children's opinions, accepting criticism, involving children decision-making, enforcing rules, etc) anxiety (fear negative evaluation. avoidance). analysis Chi-Square Pearson. Results: Most respondents were 14 years old lived their parents; mother's education school, while father's school. position first last child. Abstract Background Very-low-income students are a population at high risk of perpetrating and suffering bullying school, the same time peer group school is often one few sources support for these minors. Objective This two-wave study aimed to disambiguate two different roles acceptance friendship on victimization in very-low-income adolescents, exploring possible differential role immigrant background. Method An online survey was administered 249 early late adolescents living below poverty threshold ( M age = 12.76; SD 2.34; 41.8% girls; 19.3% immigrants). A multivariate regression model with multi-group analyses applied. Results Our results indicated that protective factor against as well victimization, whilst not protective. Only natives (but immigrants), level bullying, low achievement victimization. The persistence over significantly stronger immigrants than natives. Background: Existing evidence showed that social anxiety represents a significant factor in eating disorders. However, to our knowledge, no prior study has examined the association between and drunkorexia behaviors. Objectives: The present aimed at exploring relationship behaviors, investigating resilience as moderator of this relationship. Participants were 333 adolescents young adults aged 15–24 years (Mage=18.26, SDage= 1.55; 66% females) who completed an online survey. Results: results indicated behaviors positively correlated three dimensions anxiety; however, only fear negative evaluation had predictive effect.
