Examining Divergent Sustainable Trends in Textbook Research: A Comparative Study Between Chinese and International Perspectives DOI Open Access

Textbook research has long been a critical area within the educational academic community. With ongoing spread of globalization, significance globalization become increasingly apparent. Comparative analyses textbooks from different countries have thus emerged as popular and topic. In recent years, there growing interest in cross-cultural textbook studies, highlighting need for deeper understanding global disparities this field. This study compiles essential findings both domestic international research, aiming to uncover differences trends. Using CiteSpace software (V.6.2.R4), comprehensive visual analysis was conducted through bibliometric knowledge graph methods, comparing Chinese over past decade (2013–2023). paper presents an intuitive map key dynamics research. Utilizing quantitative approach, analyzed 1644 1478 relevant articles Web Science (WoS) China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases, respectively. It examined annual distribution, core contributors, institutional co-occurrence 1 January 2013 31 December 2023, identifying distinctive characteristics internationally. Additionally, CiteSpace’s built-in algorithm used extract keywords highlight primary areas, while keyword burst detection utilized illustrate developmental The revealed between terms focus, organizational forms, focal future development also discusses potential directions area, such establishing systematic framework fostering community scholars, integrating localized elements into it highlights importance sustainability emphasizing materials that support long-term goals.
