This study aims to examine the influence of leadership styles on institutional transformation and identify adaptive strategies for effective change management in context Indonesian Public Universities (PTNs) striving achieve world-class university (WCU) status. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 125 universities through hybrid questionnaire method involving Rectors, Directors, Vice Directors as representatives. employed logistic regression analyze likelihood PTNs achieving WCU status, alongside Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) deeper insights. The adoption of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) offers a transformative potential to enhance educational quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while promoting sustainable digital transformation. However, resistance LMS implementation often undermines these benefits. Initial perceptions an Organizational Change Readiness (OCR) play crucial, as they shape attitudes behaviors, resulting rumors, disengagement, resistance. objective the study is explore how attributes change, leadership support, internal organizational context, change targets impact OCR context implementation. Drawing from management information systems literature, this examines key factors influencing early within initiatives. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 316 university personnel across seven public universities three private colleges. Data were analyzed using partial least squares, revealing that vision clarity, appropriateness, top-management project champion effectiveness, flexibility explaining 75% variance perceived OCR. Conversely, such efficacy, history conflicts, group self-efficacy demonstrated limited influence. These findings underscore importance aligning initiatives institutional goals, fostering practices, enhancing policy frameworks facilitate smooth adoption. This provides actionable insights for transformation HEIs, particularly contexts where traditional teaching methods prevail technological common.
