The 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire highlighted the substantial energy demands major sporting events, traditionally met by conventional, and nonrenewable sources. This study investigates technoeconomic feasibility environmental benefits integrating solar wind systems into six stadiums used for AFCON to enhance sustainability, long‐term economic benefits, reduced carbon emissions. Utilizing hybrid optimization multiple electric renewables (HOMER) software simulation optimization, engineering equation solver mathematical modeling, this assesses demand potential renewable contributions Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, Korhogo, San Pedro. findings reveal that grid purchases dominate mix across all cities, with varying from energy. Abidjan achieves 20.1% penetration, while Pedro reaches 69.9%. proposed offer including payback periods less than 2 years high internal rates return (IRR), surplus generated some locations potentially sold back grid. Additionally, impact assessment indicates an estimated annual CO reduction 6518.25 metric tonnes cumulatively, equivalent planting ~2.17 million trees over 20 years. provides a detailed analysis, demonstrating viability wind–solar large sports venues contributing valuable insights future implementations technologies infrastructure sector.

The sports industry occupies an important position in China's national economy, and the event is its core industry, role regional economic development has received more attention from all parties. This paper takes Sichuan Province as example to discuss of events development. Firstly, it a theoretical overview. explores mechanism effect four perspectives: growth, industrial structure, agglomeration city brand. Second case study. Through grey correlation analysis relationship between tourism using exponential smoothing method ARMA method, establishing multi-indicator model, concluded that have highest play positive promoting
