Symptomatologic Profile and Associated Factors Observed in Patients with Dengue DOI Open Access

Background/Objectives: Dengue is an arbovirus caused by a virus. It endemic infectious and occurs in warmer climates. not uncommon for the disease to be asymptomatic. However, severe form can also triggered require intensive care. In this sense, patients present wide variety of symptoms, which trigger comorbidities such as arthritis, hematologic diseases, liver kidney autoimmune and, mainly, diabetes hypertension. Among presence fever, myalgia, headache, nausea, vomiting, leukopenia, petechiae, retroorbital pain, arthralgia, rashes, skin eruptions, cardiovascular respiratory symptoms depending on severity, hemorrhages may occur. Methods: 235 patients' anonymized records from secondary hospital were analyzed. Ethics approval was obtained no patients’ consent needed. Statistical analysis used frequency distributions Chi-square tests, with SPSS software. Results: Similar other studies, our results show that dengue lead complications. Furthermore, there significant difference distribution proportion between positive negative serology. association age group fever occurrence decreasing increasing myalgia being more frequent adults less those <10 years old. Conclusions: complications, becoming common muscle pain people age. Climate change could spread new areas. To address this, we need better vaccines effective mosquito control.
