Digital economy, as an innovative digital technology, can promote environmental governance and support low-carbon development. Under the backdrop of China's dual carbon strategy, country faces significant challenges in achieving coordinated development across domains environment, energy. Based on panel data from 30 Chinese provinces between 2012 2022, this paper constructs a coupling coordination model to measure level integrated among regulation, emission intensity. The study also examines spatiotemporal evolution using kernel density estimation spatial correlation tests. Furthermore, empirical analysis via regression models was employed investigate key influencing factors. findings suggest that: (1) has shown upward trend over sample period, with no extreme regional disparities; (2) Spatially, exhibits “high-high” “low-low” clustering effects; (3) Development levels are influenced by various external driving factors, differences primary For these findings, following recommendations proposed: enhance infrastructure, optimize regulatory frameworks, integration economy green

Abstract Labor market distortion is ceaselessly endangering the balance among economic efficiency, social equity, and environmental quality sought by inclusive green growth sustainable development. This study develops an innovative evaluation system to measure China's using provincial panel data from 2004 2020. Three dimensions are covered, including development, equity welfare, sustainability. Static dynamic econometric models employed investigate effect of labor on potential transmission channels. The spatial model further applied spillover growth. results indicate that negatively affects Technological innovation, industrial structure optimization, export trade upgrading channels impact In addition hindering local growth, also decreases neighboring through effect. These conclusions suggest removing in emphasizing role mechanisms allocation may provide a new perspective help move toward for

Green technology innovation (GTI) is crucial for sustainable economic development and achieving “peak carbon” “carbon neutrality” goals. While fiscal vertical imbalance (FVI) may exert an inhibiting effect on regional GTI, the existing literature has paid insufficient attention to investigating underlying mechanisms potential mitigation strategies such impacts. Using provincial data from China (2005–2019), this study explores impact of FVI GTI through theoretical analysis empirical testing. The results indicate that significantly inhibits as validated by dynamic system Generalized Method Moments (GMM) spatial Durbin model analyses. Mechanistically, hinders altering government preferences reducing investments in environmental pollution control. Moreover, financial decentralization transparency positively moderate relationship, with nonlinear moderating effects. These findings suggest enhancing can mitigate negative effects offering practical insights harmonizing policies green transitions.

Purpose Corporations, as key contributors of greenhouse gas emissions, have been increasingly scrutinized by governments and stakeholders. Corporations asked to disclose their carbon-related information. This study investigates public corporate carbon disclosure, an imperative communication channel between firms. Design/methodology/approach uses generalized estimation equation models with a longitudinal panel data 311 listed firms in the China A-share stock index from 2010 2020. collected firm-level Carbon Disclosure Project survey, Stock Market Accounting Research, National Economic Research Institute China. Stata was used primary statistic software empirical analyses. Findings finds that compared state-owned enterprises (SOEs), private are more willing information under legitimate environmental pressure, highly distorted factor-markets reluctant factor-distortion markets further moderate ownership lead behave like SOEs significantly reducing disclosures. Originality/value intends contribute disclosure literature adding important institutional determinants conversation context
