Purpose Transportation-related pollution is expected to decrease when using battery electric cars. This will not only address energy and environmental issues but also promote reform transformation in the zero-emission automotive industry. To craft policy interventions promotional initiatives, manufacturers need comprehend techno-psychological perspectives of users on adoption Therefore, this study aims test a “perception-attitude-intention” linking framework built upon “Unified Theory Technology Acceptance Use” (UTAUT) analyze behavioral intentions existing automobile embrace Design/methodology/approach The conceptual model tests underlying direct paths, mediation attitudes moderating gender effects predicting users’ adopt cars approach from UTAUT. “Structural equation modeling” used 361 valid online responses received conventional car owners. Findings results show that are directly predicted by UTAUT measures with indirectly through its moderation. support “Perceptions-Attitudes-Intentions” linkage explains phenomenon adoption. However, mediating paths between facilitating conditions do model. In addition, research corroborates men have stronger effect than women prefer Research limitations/implications work may assist regulators developing marketing policies encourage consumers’ potentially improve their favorable perception these vehicles. This comprehensive systematic review explores the multifaceted impacts of electric vehicle (EV) adoption across technological, environmental, organizational, and policy dimensions. Drawing from 88 peer-reviewed articles, study addresses a critical gap in existing literature, which often isolates impact EV without considering holistic effects. Technological advancements include innovations battery technology energy storage systems, enhancing performance mitigating range anxiety. The environmental analysis reveals substantial reductions greenhouse gas emissions, with lifecycle assessments showing significant for EVs compared to internal combustion engine vehicles, particularly when charged renewable sources. Key comparisons emissions between mid-size vehicles (BEVs) (ICEVs), global average by powertrain under various scenarios. organizational implications are evident, as businesses adopt new models fleet management logistics, leveraging operational efficiency sustainability. Policy underscores crucial role government incentives, regulatory measures, infrastructure investments accelerating adoption. identifies future research areas such efficient recycling methods, potential on grid stability, long-term economic implications. offers insights stakeholders aiming foster sustainable transportation achieve climate goals.

Societies worldwide are under increasing pressure to reduce carbon footprints, combat air pollution, and address climate change. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) represent a sustainable transportation solution mitigate environmental issues. Despite growing consumer demand, BEV adoption rates remain relatively low. This study extends the theory of planned behavior analyze factors influencing intentions for BEVs in Spain. The research incorporates constructs Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control, Subjective Norm, Moral Environmental Concern, unique ‘profile’ dimension comprising experience, education, gender, alongside moderating variable ‘price sensitivity’. comprises 1816 responses collected through an online survey, it utilized partial least squares structural equation model. empirical findings indicate that Norm significantly impact intention. Attitude emerges as strongest influencer, emphasizing significance personal beliefs. Concern suggests environmentally conscious consumers may lean toward due positive attitudes. does not affect relationship Price sensitivity moderates these relationships, indicating pricing strategies incentives could influence decisions. These offer practical guidance governments manufacturers aiming promote sustainable, eco-friendly methods face global challenges.

Purpose The global automobile industry is striving towards a sustainable future. Emerging countries including India are gearing up for the revolution. Considering key role of customer acceptance in success any technological shift, study endeavors to ascertain catalysts accelerating adoption Electric Two-Wheelers (E2W) by leveraging an extended Unified Theory Acceptance and Use Technology-2 model. same would assist Vehicle (EV) stakeholders directing their efforts toward pivotal aspects having potential significantly bolster E2W penetration. Design/methodology/approach Data was collected using convenience sampling technique from 1,254 electric two-wheeler owners across four Indian states analyzed Structural Equation Modelling. Findings Performance Expectancy, Price Value Hedonic Motivation have significant influence on purchase intention leading actual buying behavior. Effort Social Influence, habit value facilitating conditions were insignificant. Pro-Environmental Approach Government Support impact behavior respectively addition model predictors thus supporting study’s novelty. Purchase proved Actual Buying Behavior. Synergized EV performance innovation, cost-effectiveness, improved infrastructure information diffusion sustainability user-friendliness could aid achieving transition green mobility. Originality/value predominantly intends address intention–behavior gap related two-wheelers India. Also, two additional constructs, government support pro-environmental approach, incorporated resulting novel research framework that aims test nuanced ability predictors.
