Abstract
Plant
elicitation
provides
multi-benefits
to
plant
development
and
defense,
besides
helping
make
agriculture
more
sustainable.
However,
the
use
of
wrong
experimental
designs

directly
affects
results

generation
biased
unreliable
data.
Therefore,
an
investigation

conducted
assess
eliciting
potential

red
seaweed
biostimulant
(RSB)
alone
or
in
combination
with
fungicide
total
controlled
conditions
on
wheat
(
Triticum
aestivum
L.)
plants.
Catalase,
superoxide
dismutase,
ascorbate
peroxidase,
phenylalanine
ammonia-lyase
(PAL),
salicylic
acid
(SA)
content,
powdery
mildew
incidence,
photosynthetic
rates,
water
efficiency
were
assessed
different
periods
after
application
elicitor.
The
RSB
prevented
incidence
resulted
negative
rates
downregulated
activity
some
enzymes.
A
greater
PAL
did
not
warrant
accumulation
SA
Overall,
negatively
affected
wheat’s

Hydrogels
have
gained
significant
attention
in

applications,
