Water stress is one of the most important challenges affecting crops worldwide, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions, leading to diverse plants responses. While previous studies have examined drought responses various crops, mechanisms underlying vegetative different pomegranate cultivars remain underexplored, under varying water stress. This research investigates effects scarcity on 'Shishecap' 'Malas-Yazdi,' focusing their morphophysiological biochemical reactions conditions. Irrigation treatments included 50% requirement (severe stress), 75% (mild 100% (Control). study assessed impact deficit characteristics, including leaf area (LA), chlorophyll (a, b, total), carotenoid content, electrolyte leakage (EL), relative content (RWC), proline soluble carbohydrates activities catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD). The results showed that EL, proline, increased, whereas RWC LA decreased with reduced irrigation levels both across years. Additionally, CAT, POD, SOD increased when restriction level increased. These findings suggest accumulation compounds such as activity antioxidant enzymes, reduction act adaptive trees. could serve a basis for future aimed at understanding increasing tolerance trees
