Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a widespread neurodegenerative disorder and one of the major challenges for public health. Despite extensive research, role microglia in AD remains complex dual. The aim this review to summarize most recent advances research regarding dual concerning both immunomodulation pathological progression by considering mechanisms activation microglia, effects on Aβ clearance, tau pathology, impacts due genetic variations microglial functions. Among these findings are status M1 M2 phenotypes, crucial that variants like TREM2 have modulating response microglia. This describes how modulation signaling pathway might be exploited therapeutically treatment underlines relevance personalized medicine approach.

As life expectancy rises and the aging population grows, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has become a significant global health concern. AD is complex neurodegenerative disorder with an unclear etiology. Current hypotheses primarily focus on β-amyloid (Aβ) aggregation, tau protein hyperphosphorylation, neuroinflammation as key pathological processes. Given limited efficacy of existing therapeutic strategies, there urgent need to explore novel treatment options. Marine natural products have garnered attention due their unique chemical structures diverse bioactivities, demonstrating potential for multi-target interventions in AD. This review systematically summarizes roles marine-derived compounds, including polysaccharides, carotenoids, polyphenols, modulating Aβ mitigating pathology, regulating gut–brain axis dysfunction. Furthermore, challenges current research are discussed, emphasis improving blood–brain barrier permeability optimizing drug delivery systems facilitate clinical translation.

Obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and Alzheimer's disease (AD) are pathologies that affect millions of people worldwide. They have no effective therapy difficult to prevent control when they develop. It has been known for many years these diseases pathogenic aspects in common. We highlight this review neuroglial cells (astroglia, oligodendroglia, microglia) play a vital role the origin, clinical-pathological development, course brain neurodegeneration. Moreover, we include new results T2D-AD mouse model (APP+PS1 mice on high-calorie diet) investigating.

Since the mid-1990s, scientists have been generating mouse models of Alzheimer's disease to elucidate key mechanisms underlying onset and progression aid in developing potential therapeutic approaches. The first successful model was reported 1995 with generation PDAPP mice, which were obtained by overexpression gene coding for amyloid precursor protein (APP). then, used different approaches develop other APP mice overexpressing tau, or a combination them. More recently, Saito colleagues generated knocking mutations associated familial into gene. In this review, we will describe most animal provide practical guide disease's age progression. We believe that be valuable planning experimental design studies utilizing these models.
