Artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies have significant potential in traditional architectural education. Historically used separately, their educational impacts are not fully understood. To advance sustainable architecture education, this study incorporates language illustration tools of artificial intelligence, along with immersive painting simulation capabilities reality, into the curriculum Jiangnan architecture. Through a randomized controlled trial, 60 students were divided AI, VR, control groups. Based on establishment an adaptive course learning assessment system, empirically compares effects methods, teaching methods across four dimensions: knowledge, design, computation, learning. Independent sample t-tests one-way analysis variance to validate differences effectiveness these technological applications. Findings reveal that notably enhances design outcomes, whereas shows pronounced bolstering knowledge acquisition computational tasks. proves particularly suited conceptualization narrative-based tasks, while aligns closely model creation post-design refinement activities. Modern education faces persistent challenges, including disengagement, inequitable access to learning resources, and the lack of personalized instruction, particularly in virtual environments. In this perspective, we envision a transformative Metaverse classroom model, Multi-layered Immersive Learning Environment (Meta-MILE) address these critical issues. The Meta-MILE framework integrates essential components such as immersive infrastructure, interactions, social collaboration, advanced assessment techniques enhance student engagement inclusivity. By leveraging three-dimensional (3D) environments, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven personalization, gamified pathways, scenario-based evaluations, model offers tailored experiences that traditional classrooms often struggle achieve. Acknowledging potential challenges accessibility, infrastructure demands, data security, study proposed practical strategies ensure equitable safe interactions within Metaverse. Empirical findings from our pilot experiment demonstrated framework’s effectiveness improving skill acquisition, with broader implications for educational policy competency-based, experiential approaches. Looking ahead, advocate ongoing research validate long-term outcomes technological advancements make more accessible secure. Our perspective underscores shaping inclusive, future-ready environments capable meeting diverse needs learners worldwide.

Abstract Most of the museum's family digital interactive programmes are designed for children, and research regarding as a learning unit is lacking. Towards this end, we have been exploring how resources exist within museum experiential process it can be tailored to support adult groups participating through motivational creative tools. Based on Kolb's theories, study examines Kelvingrove Art Gallery Museum case explore mediate emotional attachments exploited reshape intergenerational experiences. First, identified three key limitations use an project from perspective: lack motivation, material issues, along with isolation. Second, design variables were clarified in conjunction stakeholder insights develop CoME memory system, which included components guiding, preserving reviewing. Next, tested system prototype analysed its data. This programme showed that by introducing attachment touchpoints, facilitate shift child‐centred co‐creation unit, consists rich materials, new ways engaging connectable shareable network. We suggest future projects should focus shifting narrative perspective exhibits static dynamic, integrating physical virtual souvenirs stimulating different motivations transfer, enhance meaningful interaction create continuous cycle knowledge.

This study investigates the motivation of future primary education teachers when using virtual reality (VR) as a pedagogical tool for teaching Social Sciences and History. A total 73 students participated, engaging with curricular content through an immersive experience designed to strengthen digital methodological skills. Motivation was measured reduced version Instructional Material Motivational Survey (IMMS), assessing attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction. Additionally, adaptation LOES-S questionnaire used analyze perception VR learning object in initial teacher training. On Likert scale (1–5), results showed high overall level (M=4.56, SD=0.26), satisfaction (M=4.92, SD=0.20) being most prominent factor. Relevance, however, received lower score (M=4.36, SD=0.44), suggesting difficulty connecting prior knowledge. In questionnaire, engagement (M=4.88, SD=0.27) highest-rated construct, indicating strong emotional motivational involvement. No significant gender differences were found, emphasizing inclusive nature VR. highlights potential enhance training, motivation, competencies, innovative methodologies, while underscoring need effective design optimize its educational impact.
