Previous research has established that the quality of peer relationships significantly impacts adolescents' physical and mental health. However, relationship between conflict cyberbullying perpetration remains insufficiently explored. Based on General Aggression Model Strain Theory, this study investigates mediating role depression hostile attribution bias in perpetration, as well moderating gender, aiming to offer a new perspective understanding adolescent perpetration. Employing two-wave survey design, encompassed 900 adolescents (Mage = 13.45, girls 452), collecting data conflict, depression, bias, through self-reported questionnaires. The findings revealed at Time 1 (T1) positively predicted 2 (T2). Depression T2 acted both individually bidirectional chain mediators T1 T2. Gender differences were observed paths "peer → T2" "depression T2." Specifically, compared girls, boys who experienced more likely engage These not only theoretically expand application Theory Model, but also provide practical guidance for prevention intervention among adolescents.

Abstract Background: Depression has emerged as a leading contribution of the global mental health burden, particularly among underrepresented adolescents. Despite World Health Organization's promotion primary healthcare critical solution, its real-world effectiveness in low- and middle-income countries remains debated due to high costs insufficient follow-up. This study aimed explore impact on core symptoms adolescent depression using network analysis, while examining influence demographic factors such gender, age, family support, identify more precise targeted intervention strategies, improving effectiveness. Methods: A citywide, multi-center, longitudinal cohort was conducted Nanchong, Sichuan Province, China, involving 73,750 adolescents (34,606 girls 39,144 boys) with median age 14.00 years old. The Comprehensive Primary Healthcare for Adolescents Program (CPHG) involved two rounds psychological screening early intervention. Depressive were assessed Center Epidemiological Studies Scale (CES-D). Network analysis employed map interrelations between depressive evaluate intervention's impact. Results: CPHG program significantly reduced CES-D scores from 6.00 2.00 (p < 0.001). revealed changes structure centrality post-intervention, specific sadness (C18) showing consistent reductions across subgroups. Gender disparities evident, female exhibiting stronger symptom interconnectivity. Junior school students also demonstrated robust compared senior students. living social welfare institutions exhibited higher expected than those both parents. Conclusions: interventions effectively modify adolescents, like being targets grade-level differences highlight need tailored strategies. findings underscore importance addressing peripheral enhance treatment efficacy reduce severity recurrence
