Abstract Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) suffer from severe performance degradation when operating under harsh conditions such as starvation, shut‐down/start‐up, and open circuit voltage. A fundamental solution to these technical issues requires an integrated approach rather than condition‐specific solutions. In this study, anode catalyst based on Pt nanoparticles encapsulated in a multifunctional carbon layer (MCL), acting molecular sieve protective is designed. The MCL enabled selective hydrogen oxidation reaction the surface of while preventing their dissolution agglomeration. Thus, structural deterioration electrode assembly can be effectively suppressed various conditions. results demonstrated that redesigning structure serve promising strategy maximize service life current PEMFC system.

Graphene oxide (GO), having diverse oxygen functional groups, including carboxyl, hydroxyl, carbonyl, and epoxy is a significant graphene-related 2D material (GR2M) essential for various applications. The quantification of these groups traditionally utilizes Boehm acid titration, which, however, does not account crucial Presently, there exists no analytical method enabling quantitative assessment the concentration in GO available market different forms such as powders, pastes, dispersions. This paper presents new approach employing catalyst-assisted acid-water-based titration to quantify materials. method's efficacy was validated using well-characterized reference sample tested on commercially produced yielding group concentrations ranging from 1.15 ± 0.047 1.37 0.051 mmol/g with high precision reproducibility. introduces two quality parameters, epoxide index (EI) equivalent weight (EEW) implemented before. Control measurements commercial known content demonstrated excellent agreement by proposed approach. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) X-ray photoelectron (XPS) were used comparative characterizations samples during titrations.

Globally, researchers have devoted consistent efforts to producing excellent coating properties since plays an essential role in enhancing electrochemical performance and surface quality. In this study, TiO2 nanoparticles varying concentrations of 0.5, 1, 2, 3 wt.% were added into the acrylic-epoxy polymeric matrix with 90:10 (90A:10E) ratio incorporated 1 graphene, fabricate graphene/TiO2 -based nanocomposite systems. Furthermore, composites investigated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, water contact angle (WCA) measurements, cross-hatch test (CHT), respectively. Moreover, field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) impedance (EIS) tests conducted investigate dispersibility anticorrosion mechanism coatings. The EIS was observed determining breakpoint frequencies over a period 90 days. results revealed that successfully decorated on graphene chemical bonds, which resulted coatings exhibiting better within matrix. WCA increased along achieving highest CA 120.85° for TiO2. Excellent dispersion uniform distribution polymer shown up 2 inclusion. Among systems, throughout immersion time, (1:1) system exhibited best high modulus values (Z0.01 Hz), exceeding 1010 Ω cm2.
