Heterostructured semiconductor photocatalysts have demonstrated exceptional adsorption capabilities for organic pollutants, making them highly effective environmental purification. In this study, SnO2 nanoparticles were synthesized using the hydrothermal method and examined as a potential photocatalyst. The analyzed X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-visible photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. degradation of chlorpyrifos was monitored to evaluate photocatalytic efficiency revealing that 78.8% eliminated within 90 min 50 mg photocatalyst with an initial pollutant concentration 20 ppm. Scavenger tests conducted identify reactive species involved in process. Furthermore, recyclability assessed fresh sample, showing decrease from 67.7%, confirming efficient reusability their high performance under visible light irradiation.
