Carbon dots (CDs) are attracting increasing research attention due to their exceptional attributes, including biocompatibility, water solubility, minimal toxicity, high photoluminescence, and easy functionalization. Green CDs, derived from natural sources such as fruits vegetables, present advantages over conventionally produced cost-effectiveness, stability, simplicity, safety, environmental friendliness. Various methods, hydrothermal microwave treatments, used synthesize green which demonstrate strong luminescence. These properties give CDs versatility in biological applications, bioimaging, biosensing, drug delivery. This review summarizes the prevalent synthesis methods renewable regarding CDs; examines optical features; explores extensive drug/gene delivery, antimicrobial antiviral effects, formatting of mathematical components, cancer diagnosis, pharmaceutical formulations.

Hyperkalemia is a potentially life-threatening electrolyte disturbance that if not diagnosed on time may lead to devastating conditions and sudden cardiac death. Blood sampling for potassium level checks time-consuming can delay the treatment of severe hyperkalemia time. So, we propose non-invasive method correct rapid detection.

Dopamine (DA) is a widely present, calcium cholinergic neurotransmitter in the body, playing important roles central nervous system and cardiovascular system. Developing fast sensitive DA detection methods of great significance. Fluorescence-based have attracted much attention due to their advantages easy operation, response speed, high sensitivity. This study prepared hydrophilic high-performance CdS/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) for detection. The waterborne QDs were synthesized one step using amphiphilic polymer PEI-g-C14, obtained by grafting tetradecane (C14) polyethyleneimine (PEI), as template. polyacrylonitrile nanofiber membrane (PAN-NFM) was electrospinning (e-spinning), metal organic frame (ZIF-8) deposited situ on surface PAN-NFM. loaded onto this substrate (ZIF-8@PAN-NFM). results showed that after deposition ZIF-8, water contact angle hydrophobic PAN-NFM decreased within 40°. with also exhibited significant changes fluorescence presence at different concentrations, which could be applied method Meanwhile, visually observed it transitioned from blue-green color colorless, making suitable real-time DA.
