During the past decade, public libraries have been framed as key health promotion partners for everything from telemedicine to opioid crisis. This study’s goal was evaluate impacts of initiatives involving collaborators. Using preferred reporting items systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, a search three databases (PubMed, CINAHL Complete, Library information science abstracts (LISA)) articles written in English referencing “health” “public libraries” returned 985 unique citations, which 67 papers were selected review, based on criteria being peer-reviewed libraries. All studies published between 1957 2023, with 88% 2000’s, 76% conducted United States. Most consisted descriptive accounts initiatives, minimal outcome measures populations targeted. Better understanding requires more rigorous assessment mechanisms, long-term success these partnerships depends stronger sustained linkages those working libraries, particularly
