In the present work, adsorption of vitamin B12 (VB12) on sugarcane-derived activated carbon (AC) was investigated with purpose developing a hybrid material able to degrade highly toxic and recalcitrant chlordecone (CLD) for remediating severe environmental issue pesticide pollution water soil. The AC used is made from locally accessible sugarcane bagasse. experimental kinetic isothermic data VB12 were modeled using multiple models, including Pseudo-Order 1 (Lagergren), 2, Elovich, Brouers-Sotolongo models kinetics. isotherms Langmuir, Freundlich, Hill-Sips, (BS), Brouers-Gaspard (BG), General (GBS), Redlich-Peterson (RP) models. results showed that BG model most suitable satisfactorily describe studied AC, involving heterogeneous mechanism onto surface providing maximum capacity, convenient tool estimate saturation level adsorbate (i.e., (CLD)) adsorbent (AC). Voltammetric studies confirm interaction between AC. Finally, molecular modeling provide atomic insights showing entrapment inside porous system form new material. calculations conformations best binding energy in GaudiMM environment.
